Hey guys! Welcome to my blog! As most of you know, I'm taking a trip to Asia with my family! I decided that it would be a good idea to share my experience with all of you back home! I have never been to Asia before and am so excited to visit for the first time! Hopefully I'll have fun attempting to converse and keep up with my family and friends here! I hope that this blog will convey what I have encountered throughout my trip in an exciting way.

Please excuse some bad quality photos and videos, as I must use my iPhone till I buy a camera!

I am also sorry for posting things a bit later than the actual day they occurred. Sometimes I get home too late to post! :(

But anyways, I hope you have fun reading my posts and I hope you will be able to follow me on my journey throughout Asia!

Beginning my adventure

It's around 11:30 am Vancouver time! My family and I have managed to force our three carts of luggage towards the ramp where we continued to check in and ask repeatedly what time we are leaving. We are waiting patiently for our10hour flight to Narita, Tokyo! As I wait, I can't help but to overhear certain conversations and notice an astounding amount of cultures all around me! Sitting to my left there is an old Caucasian couple conversing about their trip to Germany. To my right there is a mother and son speaking quickly in Korean. In front of me there is a sweet Japanese couple kissing goodbye. Behind me there is a Spanish family opening packages. Then there is my family; the half Chinese half Caucasian family. We sit drinking coffee and listening to the chatter around us... Or well.. I am. My dad seems to be shouting Cantonese into his phone and my mom is reading a paper. I sit back quietly and observe. It is most interesting and almost amusing to watch as all this unfolds because there is a swirl of so many languages mixing together. It made me realize how I should really try to explore other cultures than my own. They all have something unique to offer.. We just have to make an effort to go out and explore them. I am extremely excited to be going around Asia! Since I have never been out of America, this will be a completely new experience for me.  Lets see how I do . :)
